The Bleeding Edge technical alpha requires at least 11 gigabytes of space to be successfully installed on your device, if you do not have the required space available the game will not be installed.
On Windows 10
- If you’re low on storage space, make room for the installation to complete.
-
When starting the game installation from the Xbox (Beta) app you have the option of changing where content will be stored by selecting the hard drive you want to install to. If you see the message “Selected drive is not set up to install games” your drive is not provisioned and installation access is denied. To fix this:
- Either select the link under the message to go to Settings, or press the Windows key and selecting Settings > System > Storage. Select Change where new content is saved.
- Using the menu under Where apps will be saved to, choose the drive you want.
On Xbox One
Please remove games and apps from your device until the required space is available, if you already have enough space and you are still receiving this message you will need to contact Microsoft support for help with your device.
If you are using a third party external hard drive and receive this error but have enough space, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the external hard drive specifically for more information.
Your Xbox uses some storage for system files, so even with no games installed, you won’t see the full 500 GB or 1 TB free.
If you're still having trouble with your console you can contact Microsoft directly for support
